THE OPPORTUNITY:

Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, the Pit Technician is responsible for ore quality in the open pit, whilst maintaining a safe work environment for you and your team.

This is a permanent full-time position that operates on a FIFO 8/6, 7/7 roster from Perth or DIDO from Port Hedland.  

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ore spotting
  • Collect, package, record, and dispatch samples from blast holes, grade control holes, the crushing and screening circuits or stockpiles.
  • Complete accurate recording of samples and sample sheets

ABOUT YOU:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience using a two-way radio
  • Previous working experience in a similar role is highly regarded
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Software
  • Collaborative, team participant
