THE OPPORTUNITY
We are now recruiting Entry Dump Truck Operators at our Pilgangoora operation. No previous mining experience is required - just a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and a willingness to learn!
These are genuine entry-level opportunities whereby you'll take part in a structured training program with ongoing support to help you succeed. We offer the full ‘PLS’ mining experience, including rostered swings and camp accommodation. You’ll be part of a supportive team where safety comes first, and where reliable, motivated people are given the chance to build a long-term career in mining.
These are permanent full-time positions commencing in March and April 2026, which will begin on a FIFO 8:6-day shift roster from Perth or DIDO (Drive In / Drive Out) in the Pilbara region, then later transition to an 8:6 7:7 (day & night shift) roster. All required training will be provided.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain PLS’ value of Safety First at all times.
- Operate dump trucks in a safe, productive and cost-efficient manner to contribute to the success of the Mining Production department.
- Support all load and haul activities in the haulage of ore and waste by optimising haulage cycle times and ensuring that loads are dumped in the appropriate areas as specified.
- Follow standard work procedures for required tasks.
- Wear all personal protective equipment as required.
- Maintain expected standards of housekeeping in all work areas.
- Work as part of an effective team to ensure maximum haulage through planning and scheduling.
- Participate in all training and development opportunities to be able to competently fulfil your role.
- Demonstrate PLS values to drive a healthy workplace culture.
ABOUT YOU

- A current Australian C-class manual Driver’s Licence (HR or higher is preferable).
- A strong focus on safe work practices.
- Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts, including nights, in a remote mine site environment.
