THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Mobile Maintenance Planner is accountable for planning short to medium term maintenance activities for all PLS Mobile Assets ensuring the equipment fleet achieves maximum availability and reliability in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
Adhering To the PLS Work Management Procedure and utilising Pronto (CMMS) & ERP.
- Develop and maintain Maintenance Plans (Week+4 to 12 Weeks).
- Deliver preliminary Maintenance Plans to Schedulers at Week+4.
- In Liaison with the Project Maintenance Leadership Team for each project:
- Generate Forecasts.
- Source Resources.
- Develop Preliminary Maintenance Plans.
- Produce accurate historical data for each Asset.
- Attend and assist with major shutdown meetings.
- Develop shutdown work packs, Gantts & supporting documentation.
Provide accountability for the efficient & accurate generation of PM Maintenance Plans, achieving:
- Constructive communication with Mining & HME Leadership & stores personnel.
- Asset availability - minimising downtime & costs, facilitating maximum production compliant to project objectives.
- Completion of Defect Identification repairs.
- Ensure compliance with OEM Procedures & PLS Asset Management Framework, PLS HSEQT. Framework as well as PLS Maintenance Principles, Plans, Quality, & Time Delay Escalation.
- Liaise with OEMs, alternate vendors, and the Mining Production Leadership Team.
- Provide continual improvement & support to Planning Functions.
- Organise mobilisation of resources.
Provide accountability for:
- Week+4 Handover of Preliminary Plan to site-based Schedulers.
- Weekly Work Management (P&S) KPI’s for each Project.
Ensure compliant interaction with all stakeholders for:
- Week+4 to 12Week Preliminary Maintenance Plan, Execution & Completion Reviews.
- Clear communications & reporting.
Responsible For
- Accurate Data Input & Integrity
- Maximising Asset Health & Minimising down time via Packaging Preliminary Plans.
- CMMS Maintenance & Accuracy.
- Back Log Clean Up.
- Forward Log Review.
- Monitor & reviewing.
- Compliance to Plan.
ABOUT YOU:
- Relevant nationally recognized trade qualification.
- Current Driver’s Licence (C Class minimum).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a mining or heavy industry environment, with a focus on HME reliability or maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of heavy mobile equipment systems and components (e.g. engines, hydraulics, powertrain, electrical, undercarriage).
- for cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
- Proficient with Pronto or similar (CMMS).
- Proficient with MS Project, Excel and KPI report writing/ development.
- Analytical and technical skills and experience.
- Competent with the timing and resource provision for ad hoc, planning, and scheduling functions of industry standard asset maintenance principles in a mining environment.
