THE OPPORTUNITY:
Reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Manager, the Mobile Maintenance Scheduler is responsible for ordering parts, maintaining accurate system data by keeping information up to date, ensuring work orders are in the correct status, tracking parts, preparing job packs with all required work orders and documentation, tracking compliance with plan metrics, and providing administrative support to the planning department.
- Assist with asset availability, by minimising downtime & costs, to facilitate maximum production compliant to project objectives.
- Procure necessary parts to prevent disruptions in maintenance operations.
- Ensure the accuracy of system data by updating information regularly and maintaining proper work order statuses.
- Monitor parts inventory to effectively support maintenance activities.
- Compile detailed job packs, including all relevant work orders and supporting documentation.
- Monitor and report on adherence to maintenance plan metrics, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Ensure key performance indicators are captured and reported for equipment reliability, maintenance performance and planning and scheduling flow process.
- Collaborate with maintenance supervision and others to schedule manpower and resources for the most effective production and maintenance outcomes.
- Actively participate in scheduling meetings with maintenance managers to finalise priority of work orders and optimise downtime windows and necessary lead-times.
- Determine and identify any vendor delivered service required to meet maintenance planning objectives.
- Assist with major Shutdown meetings.
- Maintain communication with Mining Production, Mobile Maintenance Leadership & Warehouse personnel.
- Assist the Mobile Maintenance Manager & Superintendents with other reasonable duties when requested.
ABOUT YOU:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a mining or heavy industry environment, with a focus on HME reliability or maintenance.
- Previous experience in mobile and fixed plant maintenance planning and scheduling.
- Sound knowledge of process technologies and equipment relevant to the open-cut mining industry.
- Strong knowledge of heavy mobile equipment systems and components (e.g. engines, hydraulics, powertrain, electrical, undercarriage).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
- Proficient with Pronto or similar (CMMS).
- Proficient with MS Project, Excel and KPI report writing/ development.
- Analytical and technical skills and experience.
- Current Driver’s Licence (C Class minimum).
