THE OPPORTUNITY:
Reporting to the Lead Asset Readiness, this role will contribute developing strategies addressing the optimal performance, reliability, and lifecycle value of physical assets across the operation. This role provides technical expertise, data‑driven insights, and governance to support effective asset strategies, maintenance planning, risk management, and continuous improvement.
This role operates within the Asset Readiness team as a cross-functional connector who can translate reliability and asset strategy into executable work with Ops, Maintenance, Projects, and Support functions—keeping lifecycle cost, risk, and compliance in balance
This role has the multiple options for employment type available – full time, casual or fixed term contract depending on the experience and availability of the successful candidate. This role is based at our beautiful West Perth office, near the City West train station
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, review, and optimise asset lifecycle strategies, from acquisition to disposal
- Conduct asset criticality assessments and establish appropriate maintenance regimes
- Monitor asset health indicators and recommend interventions
- Develop and maintain maintenance standards, work instructions, and technical procedures
ABOUT YOU:
- Able to work closely with operations, maintenance, engineering, supply, and projects teams to align asset decisions
- Has the ability to translate technical asset performance information into clear, actionable insights for non‑technical stakeholders
- Competent to coach team members on asset management principles, failure modes, and good reliability practice
- Understanding of spares economics and cost vs risk management
