The opportunity

Reporting to the Production Supervisor on shift, the Production Technician is responsible for safeguarding that plant and equipment are operating safely in line with approved procedures and plant operating parameters to ensure consistent production rates, quality specifications, and plant performance.

This is a 12-month maximum term role which operates on a 8:6/7:7 FIFO roster from Perth or DIDO in the Pilbara region.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the plant safely and efficiently to meet production and quality targets
• Monitor and adjust process conditions to maintain steady-state operation
• Complete start-ups, shutdowns, isolations and chemical transfers to procedure
• Conduct field inspections and sampling to support process control and QA
• Identify issues early, raise work requests and support basic operator maintenance
• Maintain accurate logs and provide clear shift handovers to the oncoming crew

About you

• WA C Class Driver’s Licence with full working rights in Australia
• Certificate III in Metalliferous Mining Operations (or equivalent)
• 3+ years’ experience in hydrometallurgical, pyrometallurgical or chemical processing environments
• Strong understanding of process safety, chemical hazards and environmental compliance
• Experience with DCS/SCADA systems, plant instrumentation and reporting tools
• High-risk licences including Working at Heights and Confined Space; Forklift and FEL tickets
• Physically fit, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a shift-based, fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in team-based operations
