THE OPPORTUNITY:
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Process Operator (crushing) is responsible for operating and monitoring the crushing and sorting plant. This includes maintaining clear communication with the team throughout the shift, reporting on plant status and any issues, safely operating both fixed and mobile equipment to achieve assigned KPIs in a productive and efficient manner. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor and control assigned areas of the crushing and sorting plant.
- Conduct equipment and area inspections to a high standard within agreed timeframes.
- Perform equipment cleaning and minor maintenance as required.
- Operate small mobile plant to support clean-up activities.
- Identify and report plant components requiring preventative maintenance or repair.
- Recognise, rectify, and escalate hazards as necessary.
ABOUT YOU:
- 1–2 years’ experience operating a processing plant, preferably crushing plants and associated equipment (e.g. jaw crushers, cone crushers, apron feeders, conveyors, wet and dry screening associated slurry pumps an water recovery circuits, TOMRA ore sorters).
- Control room operation experience (desirable).
- Familiarity with safe isolation and permitting systems.
- Current WA Driver’s Licence (HR licence desirable).
- Tickets for forklift, loader, bobcat, or EWP are highly regarded.
- Confined space and working at heights certifications are advantageous.
- Positive attitude with a can-do approach.
- Strong safety focus and commitment to safe work practices.
- Team-oriented and passionate about achieving shared goals.
- Can communicate and engage across a muliti disciplined and diverse team.
- Experience operating Wheel loader, specifically CAT 980
