The opportunity

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this role will be responsible for performing planned preventative, corrective, and breakdown mechanical maintenance of the Mid-Stream Demonstration Plant (MDSP) in accordance with all compliance requirements.

This is a 12-month maximum term role which operates on a 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth or DIDO in the Pilbara region.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Perform planned, preventative, corrective and breakdown mechanical maintenance to support safe and reliable operation of the Mid-Stream Demonstration Plant.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment faults, complete repairs and inspections, and contribute to improved plant reliability and reduced downtime.
  • Support shutdowns, start-ups and isolations, ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with permit, isolation and lockout procedures.
  • Maintain accurate work orders, records and maintenance documentation in PRONTO, including labour, parts and completion notes.
  • Work closely with operations, engineering and maintenance teams to coordinate maintenance activities, escalate risks and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Uphold strong safety, housekeeping and environmental standards, including hazard reporting, risk assessments and compliance with site procedures.

 

About you

  • Trade qualified in Mechanical Fitting or a related discipline, with experience in mechanical maintenance within fixed plant, mineral processing or chemical processing environments.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability, with the ability to interpret technical drawings, maintenance documentation and procedures.
  • Sound understanding of safety systems and risk management, including permits, isolations, lockout procedures and safe work practices.
  • Experience using maintenance management systems such as PRONTO, with the ability to maintain accurate work orders, records and documentation.
  • A proactive team player with strong communication skills and a continuous improvement mindset, able to work effectively with operations, engineering, contractors and maintenance teams.
  • Holds a current WA C Class Driver’s Licence and has the flexibility, physical capability and commitment to work in a remote operations environment.
