THE OPPORTUNITY:
Reporting to the Maintenance Execution Superintendent, the Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of the mechanical maintenance functions to ensure all safety and maintenance targets are met in compliance with all statutory regulations, company standards, guidelines and procedures.
This is a permanent full-time position which operates on a FIFO 8/6 roster from Perth or DIDO from Port Hedland.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing an effective and responsive maintenance function to plant operations by executing all the scheduled maintenance work and responding to operations requirements;
- Developing and training the Mechanical Technicians to ensure the safety of personnel and the efficient operation and maintenance of plant equipment at a minimum cost;
- Promoting continuous improvement and a preventative maintenance culture in all facets of the operation; and
- Providing a safe & respectful work place for team members to work in.
- Manage the execution of maintenance plan via the daily allocation of resources to tasks.
- Fault find plant equipment and resolve problems, and assessing the potential impact on production, plant and equipment.
ABOUT YOU:
- Mechanical Trade qualification (Essential).
- Minimum 5 years previous experience in supervisory role.
- 10-15 years mechanical experience in mining or mineral processing.
- Knowledge of statutory safety requirements relevant to the processes.
- Systematic planning skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.
- Familiarity with maintenance management systems.
- PRONTO experience.
ABOUT YOU:
- Certificate III Engineering – Mechanical Fitter (Fixed Plant and must be Australian recognised).

- Fixed plant experience in a mine processing plant environment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work well in a team in remote areas.
- Strong commitment towards safety and quality.
