THE OPPORTUNITY
The Corporate Affairs Advisor plays a key role in supporting PLS’ external engagement and strategic communications to protect and enhance the Company’s reputation.
In this newly created position, you will collaborate with teams across the business to elevate our brand and strengthen how we tell our story to external audiences through clear messaging and targeted communications campaigns.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
You are a natural storyteller who can translate complex and technical information into clear, compelling communications for a wide range of audiences. Confident across both digital and traditional communication channels, you understand how to build influence and engagement through meaningful, well-crafted content.
In this fast-paced and varied role, you’ll contribute to corporate communication, ASX disclosures, media engagement, and government and community relations - meaning no two days will be the same.
Your strong judgement, attention to detail, and ability to identify opportunities to strengthen the Company’s reputation will help you thrive.
We are looking for someone who is a strategic thinker, can meet deadlines, work collaboratively, and effectively prioritise a diverse workload while delivering to a high standard.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the development and implementation of proactive communications campaigns and activities, to support PLS’ brand.
- Draft social media content for several platforms
- Research and draft public position statements, briefing materials, and stakeholder engagement plans
- Write and edit content for external electronic and print communications, including the website, external publications, and presentations
- Assist with video filming and editing in house digital content
- Support government relations activities, including supporting input and representation for PLS’ industry membership organisations
- Support market communications including ASX announcements, quarterly reports, annual reports, press releases, and other investor relations materials
- Liaise with relevant graphic designers, printers and other suppliers
- Coordinate participation in external stakeholder events
- Maintain brand integrity across Company marketing initiatives and communications
- Represent the Company and its interests at events
- Stay abreast of emerging issues and trends that are likely to impact the Company
This is a permanent full-time role based at our West Perth office, near the City West train station.
ABOUT YOU:
- Tertiary qualifications in public relations, journalism, communications or related field
- Prior experience in a corporate communications or external affairs, ideally with media relations and or government relations experience
- Demonstrated experience developing marketing content and managing multiple channels, including social media, company website, and other platforms or channels.
- Proven track record of developing and delivering communications strategies and campaigns
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to clearly convey complex technical information
- A proactive approach with high ethical standards and accountability
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment
- Ability to quickly adopt new technologies, such as AI, and systems to drive efficiency
