The opportunity
Reporting to the Learning & Development Manager, this role will play a pivotal role in planning, coordinating and delivering the training program to support the implementation of the Autonomous Haulage System (AHS).
This role will also ensure all personnel impacted by the introduction of the AHS are appropriately trained, assessed and prepared to operate safely and effectively within the autonomous mining environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and deliver the AHS training and competency strategy to support operational readiness.
- Plan and coordinate training schedules, resources, facilities, equipment and learning materials.
- Identify training needs and competency requirements across all impacted roles.
- Lead training delivery for operators, supervisors, maintenance teams, trainers and support functions.
- Coordinate vendor, subject matter expert and stakeholder involvement in training activities.
- Monitor attendance, progress, competency achievement and training compliance documentation.
- Provide regular updates on training readiness, risks, issues and progress.
- Support change management activities to drive workforce adoption of AHS technology.
- Develop assessment processes and ensure personnel meet required competency standards before operating.
- Promote safe work practices and ensure training supports autonomous operating zones, exclusion areas, emergency response and critical risk controls.
About you
- Demonstrated experience leading large-scale operational or technology-related training projects.
- Experience supporting Autonomous Haulage Systems or autonomous mining technology implementation within the mining, resources, heavy industry, or operational environments is highly desirable
- Experience in INX LMS highly regarded
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and Project Management qualifications highly regarded
- Experience in change management along with strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced project environment.
