The opportunity

Reporting to the Lead Asset Readiness, this role will support the development, optimisation and execution of asset strategies across relevant fixed plant and operational assets. Open to candidates from either an electrical or mechanical engineering background, the role provides analytical, technical and documentation support to help ensure assets operate safely, reliably and efficiently throughout their lifecycle. Working under the guidance of senior members of the Asset Readiness team, you will contribute to data analysis, maintenance strategy improvements, statutory compliance, reporting and cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Maintenance and Reliability teams.

This is a casual role based at our West Perth office, conveniently located near the City West train station.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development, review and optimisation of asset management strategies across relevant fixed plant and operational assets.
• Assist with maintaining accurate asset registers, hierarchy, tagging and master data within the CMMS.
• Contribute to reliability improvement activities, including failure mode reviews, RCM workshops, defect elimination and maintenance strategy improvements.
• Assist with preparing and maintaining technical procedures, work instructions, checklists and asset readiness documentation.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings with Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, Projects, vendors and OEMs to support asset performance and readiness priorities.
• Support risk, compliance and cost efficiency activities, including HAZOP inputs, statutory requirements, repair versus replace reviews, PM optimisation and critical spares validation.

About you

• Completed or working towards a tertiary qualification in mechanical, electrical or another relevant engineering discipline.
• Strong commitment to safety, environmental responsibility and working in line with company policies, procedures and standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment and collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Reliability and Project teams.
• Sound Microsoft Office skills and an interest in general engineering, asset management, maintenance strategy and reliability improvement.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to support technical documentation, master data, reporting and continuous improvement activities.
• Previous exposure to resources, mining, industrial systems or reliability engineering practices such as RCM, FMEA or RCA will be highly regarded.
