THE OPPORTUNITY:

Reporting to the Senior Project Accountant, this role will support the financial, accounting and cost management activities of the Midstream Project. The role will be responsible for the day-to-day cost tracking, cost administration, correct coding of all project transactions, and will support in monthly cost reporting.

This is a Maximum-term role based at our beautiful West Perth office, near the City West train station.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain project cost registers and track actuals vs budgets.
• Support month‑end journals, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly cost reports, forecasts, and variance updates.
• Review and code invoices and POs accurately in iTrack.
• Keep cost documentation, variation logs, and cash flow data updated.
• Liaise with Project Engineers to validate cost inputs.
• Escalate non‑compliance with cost control processes when required.
• Provide general project accounting and admin support as needed.

ABOUT YOU:

• Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• 3–5 years’ experience in finance or project support, ideally within resources or construction.
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Knowledge of cost control or project accounting concepts (desirable).
• ERP experience—Pronto highly regarded but not essential.
• A proactive mindset with a strong commitment to safety and environmental responsibility.
