The opportunity
Reporting to the Supply Supervisor, the Supply Officers are responsible for the safe, efficient and accurate handling of all materials within the Warehouse. This includes receiving, storing, and despatching goods, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational procedures. The role plays a key part in supporting our supply chain and ensuring timely delivery of goods to meet operational requirements.
This is a permanent full-time role which operates on a 8:6, 8:6, 7:7 FIFO roster from Perth or DIDO in the Pilbara region.
Key responsibilities
Loading & Unloading Operations
- Operate material handling equipment (e.g. forklifts) ensuring all lifting operations are performed safely and within a controlled environment.
- Conduct load inspections; reporting & rectifying issues in accordance with CoR legislation.
- Prepare and reconcile transport documentation ensuring all goods are accurately accounted for.
- Assist delivery drivers where practical (e.g. escorting, removing load restraints).
Receiving Goods to Site
- Unpacking deliveries and cross-checking against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
- Inspecting items for damage or discrepancies and reporting any issues.
- Label and store items within their correct bin location; ensuring any changes are updated into the system accurately.
Despatch & Distribution
- Manage direct freight collection and deliveries to requestors across Site.
- Attend to counter enquiries as required.
- Pick, pack and prepare orders against delivery schedule and for urgent requirements.
Storage & Inventory control
- Ensure all goods are adequately stored to preservation and warehousing standards.
- Conduct daily stocktake counts in accordance with schedule.
- Perform integrity checks and investigations as required (e.g. invoice discrepancies, stocktakes).
- Assist auditing & housekeeping projects as required.
HSE (General)
- Adhere to all Site Procedures and Safe Work Instructions for each task.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections; report any hazards / incidents immediately and rectify as instructed.
- Maintain safe housekeeping practices, ensuring all Warehouse areas are clean, organised and free of hazards where practical.
- Complete safety observations and risk assessments including Take 5’s, JHA’s as required
- Ensure all Hazardous / Dangerous Goods are stored & handled correctly in accordance with Site Procedures
- Conduct daily prestart checks on all equipment
- Participate in prestart meetings, safety toolboxes, departmental improvements and initiatives.
- Ensure all backfreight is secured for transport and manifested in accordance with CoR legislation
Communication
- Maintain effective relationships and communication with stakeholders; this includes contractors, commercial partners, and departments.
- Ensuring all communications utilising email, handheld radio, phone, MS Teams are conducted in a respectful and professional manner
- Be open and honest; demonstrating trust & integrity in all interactions
Team
- Understand the role you are fulfilling, the expectations of yourself from your supervisor and relevant key performance indicators for your role.
- Aid teammates as requested during high-risk activities (e.g. spotting duties, team lifts)
- Assist in training new Warehouse staff as required
- Participate in all training and development opportunities.
About you
- Current WA Driver’s License
- Forklift HRWL License
- Experience working within the Supply Chain industry.
- Computer skills and ability to maintain an electronic inventory system
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.
