The opportunity
Reporting to the Superintendent Safety and Emergency Services, the Supervisor Safety leads the frontline safety function at Pilgangoora Operations, providing direction, mentoring and capability development for a team of Safety Advisors to deliver the PLS Work Health and Safety (WHS) Operating System and support safe, reliable operations across mining, processing, maintenance, shutdown and project activities.
The role establishes clear safety routines, rhythms and field engagement practices that enable the effective implementation of critical risk management, verification of controls, assurance activities, incident learning and workforce development. Through visible leadership and coaching, the Supervisor fosters consistency in safety execution, strengthens the capability and effectiveness of Safety Advisors, and supports operational leaders to fulfil their accountability for managing safety risks.
Working closely with leaders, employees and contractors, the position provides practical, evidence-based guidance to improve risk awareness, compliance and operational performance, while monitoring adherence to legislative obligations and PLS standards and escalating material or emerging risks where required.
This is a permanent full-time role which operates on a 8:6 FIFO roster from Perth or DIDO in the Pilbara region.

- Support emergency readiness, drills and improvement actions in coordination with Emergency Services and operational leaders.
- Provide safety support during emergencies and significant events within the role’s competence and delegated authority.
Reporting and Continuous Improvement
- Maintain accurate records and prepare timely reports on incidents, hazards, assurance, critical controls, actions and trends.
