The opportunity

Reporting to the Group Manager Finance Corporate and Reporting you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction, governance and operational excellence of our finance technology ecosystem, combining technical expertise with business partnership and long-term strategic thinking.

This foundational role sits at the intersection of finance planning, technology strategy and capability building. You will lead the design and delivery of a modern finance technology capability - establishing standards, architecture and governance across enterprise platforms - while enabling finance to operate at scale, speed and quality.

With a relentless focus on process improvement and continuous optimisation, you'll be the trusted advisor to finance leadership on system priorities and technology investments. Beyond technical stewardship, you will champion a broader process improvement and AI adoption mindset across the finance function, translating emerging technologies into measurable efficiency gains and enhanced decision-making capability.

This is a newly created permanent full-time role based at our Corporate Perth office which offers genuine influence over how finance technology evolves at PLS.

Key responsibilities

• Own Anaplan governance, configuration management and oversight across opex, capex and workforce planning domains (with support for builds)
• Lead financial systems architecture and governance across Anaplan, Power BI, Power Apps and adjacent platforms
• Define finance technology standards, documentation frameworks and reusable design patterns
• Design and oversee automated integrations between ERP, Anaplan, Snowflake and reporting platforms
• Implement data validation, reconciliation and audit controls across finance platforms
• Act as technical escalation point for complex system issues and lead troubleshooting
• Drive process improvement and automation across finance operations
• Define and own the longer-term financial technology roadmap with the Group Manager, FP&A
• Present platform capability and roadmap progress to finance leadership and business stakeholders
• Mentor finance technology builders and analysts in platform best practice

About you

• Tertiary qualified in finance, accounting, commerce or related field
• 10+ years' experience with enterprise finance platforms (Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, OneStream) and systems architecture
• Demonstrated capability with Microsoft Power BI and Power Apps
• Experience governing, configuring and maintaining Anaplan models across multiple planning domains
• Experience designing integrations between finance platforms, ERP systems and data warehouses
• Anaplan Model Builder certifications (Level 1 & 2) or Solution Architect certification highly regarded
• An open approach to AI-enabled analytics, process automation and experience with cloud data integration tools and AWS environment also highly regarded
