The opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Exploration Geologist, this role will supervise exploration programs within the near mine Pilgangoora project area and our large portfolio of regional tenure, with the primary objective of executing safe and efficient exploration programs to discover new minerals resources within the district.  

This is a permanent full-time role based at our Pilgangoora Operation in the Pilbara region, which operates on an 8:6 FIFO roster from Perth or DIDO in the Pilbara region.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise RC and diamond drilling programs across near-mine and regional exploration activities.
  • Log RC samples and diamond core accurately, ensuring high-quality geological data is captured.
  • Collect, validate and analyse exploration data to support resource discovery and program decisions.
  • Participate in field mapping, surface geochemistry and other regional exploration programs as required.
  • Coordinate effectively with drilling contractors, logistics providers and internal stakeholders to execute programs efficiently.
  • Maintain strong safety standards in the field and provide regular technical updates and reporting to the Senior Geologist.

 

About you

  • Degree-qualified in Geology, with at least 2 years’ experience in exploration or mining environments.
  • Confident working in the field with strong logging, data collection and validation capabilities.
  • A clear communicator who can build effective working relationships with contractors and internal stakeholders.
  • A collaborative team player with strong attention to detail and a commitment to safe work practices.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision in a dynamic, fast-paced exploration setting.
