THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Supply Chain Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the end-to-end concentrate logistics supply chain, with a focus on data-driven decision-making and process optimisation.
Reporting to the Concentrate Logistics Superintendent, this role is responsible for analysing, coordinating and improving supply chain activities including site-based product blending, road haulage from mine to port, and port operations.
This is a permanent full-time position, located at our Pilgangoora Operation in the Pilbara region, which operates on a FIFO 8:6 roster from Perth
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Conduct Data-Driven Reconciliation & Reporting: Perform reconciliation of concentrate using analytical tools to ensure data accuracy and support operational reporting.
- Support Strategic Improvements: Assist the Concentrate Logistics Superintendent by identifying and analysing opportunities for efficiency improvements across the concentrate logistics value chain.
- Safety & Compliance Monitoring: Ensure adherence to safety procedures and company policies. Contribute to incident investigations by analysing logistics data and trends to support root cause identification and corrective actions.
- Logistics Planning & Forecasting: Develop daily haulage plans and weekly forecasts using data and predictive models to align with upcoming shipping schedules.
- Risk Monitoring & Mitigation: Track, monitor, and report on key variables and potential shortfalls, providing insights and contingency strategies to mitigate risks in meeting shipping schedules.
- Quality Assurance Analytics: Analyse product grade and moisture content data to ensure client specifications are met.
- Contractor Coordination & Performance Tracking: Coordinate site logistics contractors and monitor their performance using KPIs and operational data to ensure alignment with supply chain goals.
ABOUT YOU
- Current C class driver’s license
- Previous logistics experience
- Strong analytical thinking and solution-oriented mindset
- Commitment to safety and PLS values
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
- A team player and capable to work autonomously
- Flexible approach and attitude
- Pass pre-employment medical and DAS testing
- Sound organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise
This role requires occasional after-hours contact in the event of issues related to haulage or ship loading.
